Dear People of Roxborough,

I moved to Roxborough 34 years ago. I loved the small-town community feel. I recall sitting at our dining table looking out our northeast facing window and seeing cattle being rounded up by cowboys on horses. Now, that view is a sea of new homes.

This community has faced significant challenges such as expanding soil, no water to call our own, and high taxes from bankruptcy. It was left holding the bag, but the beauty was still there in the people, wildlife, and landscape. I wanted to do my part in pulling this community back together.

In 1998 I started to be involved with our community. I was appointed to the board of directors of Roxborough Village Metropolitan District.

I was elected to the Roxborough Park Metropolitan District (now Roxborough Water and Sanitation) in 2000. I served for 16 years, from 2000 to 2020.

I have worked in the health science industry since 1998. My background is in innovative design and engineering. On November 3, 2020, I received my first United States Patent.

My wife Candee and I look forward to many more years of helping make Roxborough a community we can all be proud of.

Sincerely,

David R. Heldt
