Billing and Remittance Procedure Changes
Bills are mailed out by the 1st of each month and are due on the 15th of the next month (or the closest business day to the 15th). There is a 5 calendar day grace period before a $15 late fee is assessed. The current billing and late fee assessment dates are available on our website. Please visit the page displayed on the right. Rate Explanation
Sewer Collection and Treatment (Fixed Charge Per Month)
This charge is shared equally with every customer connected to the District’s sewer system. Covers all costs to collect and treat the wastewater, including payment to the city of Littleton for Wastewater Treatment. Commercial customers pay an additional charge for sewer usage (based on actual water usage at a cost per 1,000 gallons)
Sewer System Replacement Fund (Fixed Charge Per Month)
The District must plan and implement for future systematic replacement of inefficient and/or inoperable infrastructure.
Water Usage (Charge Is Based on Monthly Use)
Based on actual consumption in 1,000 gallon increments during the billing period. Total monthly consumption is based on a block or tier structure. The more you use above the 20,000 gallons tier one level-the more it costs, which is intended to promote water efficiency and funds the District’s rebate program. This charge covers the variable costs of raw water, water treatment and moving of water through the system.
Water Treatment and Distribution (Fixed Charge Per Month)
This charge is shared equally and ensures every customer is an equal part of the treatment and delivery infrastructure system for quality water to be delivered to their home or business 24/7 on their demand. Covers all fixed costs of operating the water system.
Water System Replacement Fund (Fixed Charge Per Month)
The District must plan and implement for future systematic replacement of inefficient and/or inoperable infrastructure.
Water Supply Fund (Fixed Charge Per Month)
This charge provides the needed Debt Service funding for a PERMANENT water supply.
